Welcome to Sense Ability Therapy C.I.C.
At Sense Ability Therapy, we understand how life can change after a neurological diagnosis or with a long-term health condition. You may be feeling less steady, less confident, or less independent than you once were — but you are not alone.
We are here to help you rebuild strength, improve movement, and regain confidence in everyday life at any point in your healthcare journey.
Based near Newton Abbot, we support people across Totnes, Torquay, Teignmouth, and the wider South Devon area. We specialise in working with adults who have neurological conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s, MS, and other long-term health challenges.
We offer:
- One-to-one rehabilitation tailored to your personal goals
- Supervised sessions in our welcoming and fully accessible gym
- Small, supportive exercise classes
- Home visits where needed
- Continuous support and advice
Everything we do is centred around you — your pace, your goals, and what matters most in your daily life.
As a Community Interest Company, our priority is people, not profit. Every penny we make is reinvested into improving our services and facilities, so we can continue providing high-quality, specialist care to our local community.
If you’re unsure whether therapy is right for you, we offer a free, friendly phone consultation to talk through your concerns and answer your questions.
Let us help you take the next step towards greater confidence, independence, and quality of life.
Our Core Belief
No matter your age or diagnosis, progress is possible. With patience, perseverance, and the right support, we believe we can help you take confident steps towards a better quality of life.
About Us
Our Story
Sense Ability Therapy began in 2015 with one specialist physiotherapist and a simple aim — to provide expert neurological rehabilitation in a supportive, community-focused environment.
Our founder’s passion for neurological rehabilitation is not only professional, but personal. Having experienced first-hand the challenges of caring for a loved one faced with a neurological diagnosis, she understands the physical, emotional, and practical impact these conditions can have — not just on the individual, but on the whole family. That insight shapes everything we do.
As the need for specialist services grew across South Devon, so did we. Today, we are proud to be a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, reinvesting every surplus back into improving our services, purchasing specialist equipment, and helping to subsidise sessions for those who need additional support.
How We Can Help
We offer a wide range of specialist services designed to support you at every stage of your rehabilitation:

Our Approach
We believe rehabilitation should feel personal, supportive, and achievable. We take time to listen, understand your goals, and work alongside you to help you return to the activities that matter most — whether that’s walking confidently, gardening, travelling, or simply feeling steadier on your feet.
At Sense Ability Therapy, you are never “just a patient.” You are an individual with goals, strengths, and potential — and we are here to help you move forward with confidence.
