- Exercise class for people with Parkinsons (either on a mat, standing or seated depending on need)
- Neuro Circuit classes for mobility, strength and balance.
- Adaptive Yoga classes
Clinical Parkinsons Exercise Class

The Parkinson’s exercise class is specifically for people with Parkinson’s disease or Parkinsonism conditions. You can choose to do seated, standing or mat based exercised. The class is focused on helping you target specific issues related to Parkinson’s disease- the class includes Pilates, adapted yoga and tai chi, strength training, boxing and targeted balance and co-ordination exercises. This allows you to improve balance, strength, walking ability, posture and flexibility in one class.
All participants are given an initial screening and a full assessment if required to ensure the Physiotherapist is aware of your level and can tailor the exercise class to your individual needs. Classes run on a Friday in term times. The Parkinsons Class starts at 11.00am and lasts for 1 hour.
Circuit Classes
Since February 2022 we have run physio-led circuit classes in our fully accessible gym.
Your circuit can target both lower limb and/or upper limb muscles — and both options are designed to improve your cardiovascular fitness as well as strength and everyday function.
Before you join a class, you’ll attend a one-to-one introductory session. This gives you the chance to get comfortable with the equipment, allows us to carry out some initial outcome measures, and most importantly, enables us to create a bespoke circuit programme tailored to your goals and ability.
Each class includes a series of 10-minute exercise stations using our specialist rehabilitation equipment. You’ll follow a personalised programme within the group setting, so you can work at the right level for you while still enjoying the motivation and encouragement that comes from exercising alongside others.
Our circuit classes are a supportive, social, and affordable way to access specialist rehabilitation. They’re also a fantastic stepping stone towards independent exercise and long-term self-management — helping you build confidence as well as strength.
